Without a doubt, Baywatch was one of the most successful series of the ‘90s. After all, it’s officially been twenty years since the series’ last episode aired, and people are still talking about it! Many stars of the series ended up having the most amazing careers, whereas others had disappeared completely from the spotlight.
No matter the case, we’re about to go through most of the fan-favorite actors! We were pretty surprised to see what some have been up to lately! Especially with Baywatch: The Documentary being on its way to be released, our curiosity levels are practically peaked!
Mitch Buchannon – David Hasselhoff – 37

Starting off dynamically, we’re going to talk about one of the most famous people in the show. Even though portraying Mitch Buchannon was in no way David Hasselhoff’s first acting gig, it was the one that put him on the map. After all, he was playing the lifeguard’s so-called leader for eleven seasons, ending in 2000.
Needless to say, his flawless body and good looks were really helpful when it came down to making a name for himself. Up until Baywatch, the Hoff was mostly known from The Young and the Restless, as Dr. Snapper Foster. He was in his late 30s by the time he got the role.
David Hasselhoff Now– 68

Once the show was done, one would expect Hoff to be somewhat lost as to what he’d do next, but it turns out that he had no issue adjusting to the new reality. He reached the point when he’s now invited to make cameos for many different films, even including the SpongeBob SquarePants film!
He’s earned a $10-million fortune and has created shows like Meet the Hasselhoffs. Already, within 2021, he’s been on episodes of Young Sheldon and The Helgason Show while also voicing Hoff 9000 for the upcoming King Fury 2. He’s 68 and has gotten married thrice, currently to Hayley Roberts.
Caroline Holden – Yasmine Bleeth – 25

When she was 15, Yasmine Bleeth got her first-ever role, playing on Baba!. Soon enough, she got to star on Ryan’s Hope in the late ‘80s, but it wasn’t until her role on Baywatch when she really made a name for herself. Playing Caroline Holden was arguably perfect for her, keeping in mind how alluring she was back then.
She went on to play for four seasons on the series before her struggle with her past addictions got the best of her. According to The Things, she was fired from the show because of it. She did appear on the show’s sequel films, though, even on 2003’s Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.

In fact, the last time she ever acted was in the Baywatch film of the ‘00s. According to her IMDb page, she has announced to be working on a horror film called Beautiful Evil, and if that’s true, we simply can’t wait to watch it!
Lani McKenzie – Carmen Electra – 25

Even though Carmen Electra played in merely two seasons of Baywatch, she’s probably one of the most famous people to have played there. It wasn’t always like that, though, as it was the first acting job she ever accepted! Before that, she had worked as a dancer and done some photoshoots for adult magazines.
She played Lani McKenzie until 1998, and it was more than enough to put her on the map. In the same year she left the show, Carmen got married to Dennis Rodman, a marriage that sadly lasted only a year. Her career, however, has lasted her a lifetime.
Carmen Electra Now– 49

C.J. Parker – Pamela Anderson – 25

With her blonde hair, exceptional physique, and incredible acting skills, Pamela Anderson was the perfect person to portray C.J. Parker in the series. She was cast in 1992, meaning that the show was one of the first acting gigs she ever landed. She went on to play on five seasons, finally leaving the show in 1997.
It didn’t take long for her to become a symbol of femininity everywhere, especially with being that much captivating. The CelebrityNetWorth website mentions that she was earning around $300K per episode at the series’ peak! At the time, she was also married to Motley Crue’s drummer, Tommy Lee.

Hobie Buchannon – Jeremy Jackson – 11

Most of the show’s fans probably remember Jeremy Jackson fondly. He started playing at Baywatch as a teenager and left once he was over eighteen. He portrayed Hoff’s character’s son, named Hobie Buchannon, and before the show was over, he had managed to steal everyone’s hearts.
Of course, having such a charismatic smile, the job was easy for him. Through the show, Jackson was also introduced to the music industry. He ended up releasing two albums, Number One and Always, both in the mid-'90s. However, he didn’t have much luck with singing after that.
Jeremy Jackson Now – 40

Once the show was concluded, Jackson played in some of the Baywatch movies and participated in many reality TV shows. Who could forget, after all, the Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew in 2011? He wasn’t really able to settle on another series for as much as he did in Baywatch, though.
In 2017 he was unfortunately incarcerated after allegedly stabbing a person in 2015. His sentence was shorter than a year, and he was soon able to resume his life where he left it. His IMDb page now mentions a future project, a film called The B Team. He’s also going to participate in Baywatch: The Documentary.
Matt Brody – David Charvet – 20

As his jealous-worthy jawline probably indicates, David Charvet was cast to play one of the show’s heartbreakers. His character, Matt Brody, dated both C.J. and Summer! He came from France, and portraying Matt was the first acting job he ever got. Nevertheless, it was more than enough to put him on the map.
Charvet was on the show for four seasons, finally leaving in 1996, after which he gave singing a try. He also started playing on Melrose Place almost immediately after he left Baywatch. It’s safe to say that he was a fan favorite, despite his characters’ many ups and downs in the plot.

Shauni McClain – Erika Eleniak – 20

Even though Erika Eleniak was merely 20 years old when she started portraying Shauni on the show, it was hardly her first acting project. She had made her big-screen debut in the early ‘80s, playing a small role in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, when she was just 13!
Nevertheless, with a smile as bright as hers, the fans loved her immediately. She started on Baywatch in 1989 and left after three seasons. During her time there, she was also engaged to her co-star and her character’s romantic interest, Billy Warlock. Sadly though, they didn’t end up lasting.
Erika Eleniak Now – 51

These days Eleniak is rocking a noticeably shorter hairstyle, yet clearly, has done an excellent job in preserving herself! She’s in her 50s now and remains quite active as an actress. Though he was already playing on Days of Our Lives up until then, he briefly left to join Baywatch. Nevertheless, he left after three seasons, reportedly because he wasn’t happy with the show's direction. Years later, while speaking on 7News.au, he admitted that he wanted to try out different characters.
Billy Warlock Now – 60

For better or worse, Billy Warlock isn’t even active these days as an actor. As a matter of fact, according to his Twitter account, he’s a ski instructor in Colorado! Naturally, her character, Stephanie Holden, immediately became a fan-favorite, and she lasted for five full seasons! Jason Ioane – Jason Momoa – 20

Most people nowadays probably don’t realize that Jason Momoa started his career playing in Baywatch, especially given how much success he’s since found. Nevertheless, portraying Jason Ioane was one of the first characters he ever got to do for the camera. He started in the show’s tenth season and lasted until its last.
His character was fittingly supposed to be the best swimmer on the lifeguard team and probably the most hot-headed one. He was only 20 years old when he was cast to play and had only previously worked as a model. In fact, he even won the Hawaii Model of the Year award in 1999!
Jason Momoa Now– 40

Fast forward two decades later, and Jason Momoa is now known as Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones and Aquaman from the DC Extended Universe. He’s also happily married, with two children, to Lisa Bonet, since 2017, who was starring on The Cosby Show in the ‘80s.

Before long, Cody was a fan favorite. Of course, his romances with C.J. Parker and Lani McKenzie played a big part in that too. He left the show in 1999, but by then, he had even been listed as one of the world’s most beautiful people by People Magazine.
David Chokachi Now– 53

Craig Pomeroy – Parker Stevenson – 37

His character, Craig, was both a lifeguard and a lawyer. Though he appeared on the show’s pilot, his role ended up being a recurring one after he supposedly relocated to pursue a career in law. He came back by 1997, and that was when he started dating Kelly Pickard’s character, April Giminski.

Samantha Thomas – Nancy Valen – 31

Even though her initial goal was to pursue an acting career, Nancy Valen found herself in front of a camera soon enough. It all started with a couple of seasons of Ryan’s Hope. Looking as good as she does, it didn’t take long before she joined the cast of Baywatch in 1996.
Playing Samantha Thomas is to the day one of her most memorable projects even though she only did it for two seasons! Her character was a lifeguard captain, who eventually quit the team to start a business with one of her exes. Needless to say, the show’s fans couldn’t get enough of her!
Nancy Valen Now – 55

Ever since Valen left the show, she’s had a marvelous career. She’s been married to Nels Van Patten since 1994. She’s acted and even produced various projects before she decided to take a break from the spotlight in the mid-00s. It seems as though she’s back now and looking better than ever!

She had to leave the show once she became pregnant with her first child. Her daughter was born in 2000, whom she had with her ex-husband, Julian McMahon, from Home & Away. Nevertheless, she certainly stayed long enough to make an impact and ensure her career’s longevity.
